EC Library Guide on smart energy: Research journals
Research journals
- Sustainable Energy, Grids and Networks | Elsevier
Sustainable Energy, Grids and Networks (SEGAN) is an international peer-reviewed publication for theoretical and applied research dealing with energy, information grids and power networks, including smart grids from super to micro grid scales.
SEGAN welcomes papers describing fundamental advances in mathematical, statistical or computational methods with application to power and energy systems, as well as papers on applications, computation and modeling in the areas of electrical and energy systems with coupled information and communication technologies.
- Smart Energy | Elsevier
Smart Energy is an international, multi-disciplinary journal with a focus on smart energy systems design, analysis, planning and modelling.
The journal covers technical and energy engineering research of technologies and system designs with a focus on energy systems. Research is welcome on the role of smart energy technologies and energy infrastructures into an energy systems context such as energy conversion, energy efficiency, energy storage, electrification, power-to-heat, power-to-gas, power-to-liquids, electrofuels, district heating, district cooling and renewable energy.
- Current Sustainable/Renewable Energy Reports | Springer
Current Sustainable/Renewable Energy Reports focuses on the latest advances in energy, offering expert reviews on current research on sustainable and renewable fuels, the transportation sector, the power sector, the environment, energy-water nexus, energy-food-agriculture; waste streams and urban planning.
Articles cover a range of established and emerging opportunities for energy management. Expert contributors present timely research, assess the efficacy of available options and discuss special considerations.
- Renewable and Sustainable Energy Transition | Elsevier
Renewable and Sustainable Energy Transition has a mission to share the most interesting and relevant problems, solutions, applications, novel ideas and technologies to support the transition to a low carbon future and achieve our global emissions targets as established by the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change.
The journal will address key challenges in the global energy transition, and the wider sustainable development and environmental issues related to it, and act as a forum for the best research to come together and provide solutions and pathways for us to establish a world based on low-carbon energy.
- Applied Energy | Elsevier
Applied Energy provides a forum for information on innovation, research, development and demonstration in the areas of energy conversion and conservation, the optimal use of energy resources, analysis and optimization of energy processes, mitigation of environmental pollutants, and sustainable energy systems.
The breadth of coverage ranges from innovative technologies and systems of both fossil and renewable energy to the economic industrial and domestic use of energy with no or minor impact on the environment. Applied Energy is also concerned with the attendant problems of modeling and forecasting, conservation strategies, and the environmental, social and economic impacts of energy policies and usage, including climate change mitigation and other environmental pollution reduction.
