The European Union and China
The European Union and China are committed to a comprehensive strategic partnership. The balance of challenges and opportunities presented by China has shifted over time. At the same time, the EU and China should work together more closely to tackle global and regional challenges and remain committed to engagement. We are two of the three largest economies and traders in the world. Therefore, ensuring reciprocity, achieving a level-playing field, and addressing asymmetries in the relationship is a matter of priority.
