The Portal Site of Official Statistics of Japan, e-Stat (the "Site"), launched on 1st April 2008, delivers the one-stop service for official statistics of the Japanese government, which is pursuant to "the Optimization Plan of Business Processes and Systems of Statistical Surveys and related work" (Ministries CIO Council decision, 31 March 2006). Under the Optimization Plan, which is promoted by the Statistics Bureau, Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications with collaboration of Ministries and Agencies, the Site aims to gather information from statistical departments of Ministries and Agencies, and provides general public with statistical data, schedule of release, etc. The Site is managed and maintained by the National Statistics Center.

The Bank compiles various kinds of monetary and financial statistics. These include monetary statistics, such as money stock and flow of funds statistics; the Tankan (Short-Term Economic Survey of Enterprises in Japan), which indicates corporate sentiment; the corporate goods price index (CGPI), which is a key indicator for grasping overall price developments in Japan; and the Balance of Payments (BOP) statistics, which illustrate the country's cross-border economic transactions. Compilation of the BOP statistics is entrusted by the Minister of Finance.

The Japan Statistical Yearbook is a comprehensive and systematic compendium of basic statistical information of Japan covering wide-ranging fields such as land, population, economy, society and culture. The yearbook covers many fields of statistics published by the government and private organisations.
