Balkan Green Energy News is a leading bilingual and free-of-charge online platform covering sustainable energy, climate action, environmental protection and urban mobility developments from a selection of accurate, reliable and straight-to-the-point news, policy actions and investment opportunities from the Balkan region countries: Serbia, Kosovo*, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Slovenia, Montenegro, Albania, Romania, Bulgaria, Macedonia, Greece, Cyprus and Turkey.
The Balkan Green Energy News project has been developed and implemented for companies, financial institutions, decision makers, international organizations, investment funds, consulting companies, project developers, civil society organizations and other stakeholders from all over the world that are already present in Balkan markets or plan to enter them. Our mission is to help them understand the changing regulatory environment and to get clear insights of those fast-growing markets by providing an overview of the most important and relevant news, facts and figures so they can be more actively involved in shaping outcomes.
Balkan Green Energy News is a project of the Centre for Promotion of Sustainable Development (Centar za promociju održivog razvoja – CPOR), a non-profit civil society organization from Belgrade, Serbia, whose mission is to promote and facilitate the implementation of sustainable development concept in Serbia and other Balkan region countries through awareness raising campaign, advocacy, information dissemination, education of relevant stakeholders and events organization. At the same time Centre for Promotion of Sustainable Development partners with and makes networks of relevant sustainability developers, i.e. companies, organizations, institutions and individuals whose strategies, activities and programs contribute to sustainable development promotion.
- Balkans Policy Research Group (BPRG)
Balkans Policy Research Group (BPRG), also known as the Balkans Group, is an independent NGO and a think tank that targets the most pressing issues and needs. With its interventions and initiatives, Balkans Group aims to influence policy change in support of democratic consolidation, social cohesion and prosperity in Southeast Europe.
- German Economic Team (GET)
Kosovo is one of the most recent GET project countries. Since 2021, the German Economic Team has been advising the government in Pristina on economic and structural policy reforms.
- Group for Legal and Political Studies (GLPS)
Group for Legal and Political Studies is an independent, non-partisan and non-profit public policy organization based in Prishtina, Kosovo. Our mission is to conduct credible policy research in the fields of politics, law and economics and to push forward policy solutions that address the failures and/or tackle the problems in the said policy fields. Through advocating the policy solutions derived from our policy research, we aim to support four fundamental policy developments:
- International crisis group
The International Crisis Group is an independent, non-profit, non-governmental organisation committed to preventing and resolving deadly conflict.
- Kosovar Centre for Security Studies (KCSS)
Kosovar Centre for Security Studies is an independent policy research centre founded in April 2008 and based in Prishtina - Kosovo. KCSS is dedicated to security sector development and reform in Kosovo and Western Balkans. It proactively promotes principle of good governance, integrity and resilience.
- RAND: Kosovo
RAND is a research organization that develops solutions to public policy challenges to help make communities throughout the world safer and more secure, healthier and more prosperous.

How to find think tank papers on a specific topic:
- Go to the EU Council Libraries' Eureka catalogue, advanced search;
- Combine one or more search terms (e.g., artificial intelligence and ethics) with Series: Think Tank Review:
- in the case of a composite search term, such as artificial intelligence, you must use the search criteria 'contains exact phrase' or enclose the term in quotation marks use of quotation marks ("artificial intelligence");
- to get variants of a search term (e.g., ethics, ethical, ethically, ethicist), just use the root of the word followed by an asterisk (ethic*);
- You can narrow your search to a specific time frame, type of material and language or apply the respective filters to your search results.
