EC Library Guide on the European elections: Statistics and data
Statistics and data
- Comprehensive European Parliament Electoral Data (COMEPELDA) | Harvard Dataverse
The COMEPELDA collection consolidates information on European Parliament (EP) elections into one comprehensive source. It provides information on formal electoral rules as well as national-level and district-level election results for parties and individual politicians (including full candidate lists). The use of existing and new key variables makes it easy to link the data across the different units of observation (country, party, candidate, MEP) and join them with external information. Currently, the data cover four elections (1999–2014).

- European Election Studies: International Survey Programs | GESIS – Leibniz Institute for the Social Sciences
The European Election Studies (EES) offer data about electoral behaviour in European Parliament elections. Collecting survey data as well as a variety of other data types, they cover topics such as the evolution of a political community in the European Union, citizens' perceptions of and preferences about the EU political regime, and the evaluation of its political performance. They offer wide opportunities for comparative and longitudinal analyses across the EU member states.
